We are a homeschooling family. We have also had some of our boys in traditional school for a year or two at a time, so I can’t say that we have been homeschooling exclusively since our boys were of “official” school-age. Our family perspective on homeschooling and home education in general has evolved as we have evolved and grown in our faith and commitment to forming our children in the ways in which we feel God is leading us. My husband and I now pray months before each academic year for the path that we should follow for each of our unique three boys. I love acronyms and P.E.A.R.L.S. is one of my favorite ways to organize myself and remind myself of my core homeschooling philosophy and the way I approach implementation of home education. I love thinking of my boys forming “Pearls of Wisdom” through their character formation and in the experience of their academic studies and skill building!
